SOGCE 2026: Sabah Charts Its Energy Future

Kota Kinabalu, 25 26 June 2026 The 13th Sabah Oil, Gas and Energy Conference and Exhibition (SOGCE) 2026 returned to the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, and energy professionals from across the region under the theme "Fueling the Future: Driving Energy Innovation for Sustainable Growth."
Officiated by Deputy Chief Minister cum Works and Utilities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, the two day event drew approximately 300 delegates, 90 exhibiting companies, and more than 40 speakers and moderators reflecting Sabah's growing role in the regional energy sector.
Key Themes
Discussions over the two days centred on energy security, the energy transition, innovation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, talent development, and investment opportunities. Speakers and panellists represented leading organisations including PETRONAS, TotalEnergies, Shell Malaysia, Boston Consulting Group, Velesto Energy, Hibiscus Petroleum, and the Energy Commission of Sabah, among others.
A Platform for Collaboration
Since its inception in 2012, SOGCE has grown into Sabah's premier and longest running oil, gas and energy platform, fully supported by the Sabah State Government through the Ministry of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport (MiNDET). The event continues to serve as a catalyst for partnerships, knowledge sharing, and investment within Sabah and beyond.

The 14th edition, SOGCE 2027, has been announced for 24 25 June 2027.
