Fike Protectowire Linear Heat Detector

The Protectowire Linear Heat Detector is a specialized cable designed to detect heat along its entire length. It consists of two steel conductors insulated with a heat-sensitive polymer, twisted together to create spring pressure, and encased in protective layers. When the detector's rated activation temperature is reached, the insulation melts, allowing the conductors to contact each other and trigger an alarm at the exact point of heat detection. This fixed temperature digital sensor offers the benefits of continuous line coverage with the precision of point detection, without needing calibration for ambient temperature changes.
